LED-verlichting, waren de light emitting diodes nog lang niet zo bekend als nu. Maar alleen al door het feit dat deze lampen enorm energiebesparend zijn en maar liefst 50.000 branduren tellen, wordt je enorm enthousiast. De mediterraan blauwe verlichting was bovendien een enorme uitbreiding op de sfeer in ons bad. Met name  s avonds kregen we heel veel positieve reacties. Het Kikkerfort koos er in eerste instantie voor om alleen de onderwaterverlichting te vervangen voor LED s, maar later werd ook de bovenwaterverlichting aangepast.  Ook deze lampen moesten regelmatig worden vervangen, wat toch redelijk arbeidsintensief is. We hebben nu veel meer zicht op de bodem, wat de veiligheid in ons bad aanzienlijk vergroot. Op aanraden van WaterVision hebben wij een extra lamp geplaatst, waardoor we geen  dode hoeken meer in ons bad hebben. Bovendien weerkaatsen de lampen het licht prachtig tegen het plafond, wat zorgt voor een mooi effect.  s Avonds laten wij vaak alleen de onderwaterverlichting branden, wat vanuit de naastgelegen sporthal goed te zien is. We merken dat mensen hierdoor geprikkeld worden om bij ons te komen zwemmen. De LED-verlichting is absoluut ons visitekaartje. Het meest tevreden ben ik, als technische dienst, echter met het feit dat de verlichting onderhoudsvrij is. We moesten niet alleen twee keer per jaar de halogeenverlichting vervangen, doordat deze lampen erg warm worden was vaak ook het binnenwerk aan vervanging toe.
